(Gray News) - More than 1.5 million Dodge Ram trucks are under recall due to a potential seat belt issue.FCA US LLC announced that more than 1.2 million of those trucks were in the U.S. market, with the rest in Canada, Mexico and countries outside of North America. The recall applies to certain 2019-2026 Ram 1500 trucks. According to the company, the issue could affect the seat belt buckle anchor on the second row center and second row driver-side seats. The anchor may not have been properly attached and, in certain crashes, the error could affect how the seat belt system works and increase the chances of injuries. Those who have trucks under the recall will be notified and told to contact a Dodge dealer to schedule an inspection. If needed, the dealer will properly attach the anchor to the vehicle’s body for free.Anyone with questions should call 1-800-853-1403 or visit recalls.mopar.com.
