SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Treatment for the disease has improved over the years, but hair loss remains a side effect for some patients. Kendra Baché, owner and founder of Maison Baché, joined us with a few of her products and shared her story.Facing a diagnosisBaché said she was diagnosed with breast cancer and knew she could lose her hair.“When diagnosed with breast cancer I knew I could lose my hair, I was terrified,” Baché said. “Like so many women, I had this image in my head that a wig would look fake and that everyone would know I was wearing one.”Baché said she did not know how a high-quality real human hair wig could look.“I had no idea how beautiful and natural a high-quality real human hair wig could be,” Baché said. “I also had no idea where to find one.
