DESOTO COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) - A DeSoto County man faces 63 felony charges after a months-long investigation into alleged child sexual abuse material, according to the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office.The sheriff’s office identified the man as Eugene Sampson.Detectives began investigating in June after another law enforcement agency contacted the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office about a child sexual abuse material case, the agency said. Detectives later confirmed Sampson lived in DeSoto County and assumed the investigation.Detention deputy arrested after unauthorized computer access, sheriff’s office saysTips from the National Center for Missing Exploited Children involved images containing minors, according to the sheriff’s office.
