LAS VEGAS (InvestigateTV) — A Las Vegas group called the Sassy Seniors has spent the past year showing up to community events across the valley dressed in pink and carrying pom-poms.The group was founded by a woman named Kathy Yanke, who wanted to find others her age to do community work alongside. She has since recruited about a dozen women who rotate in and out of events throughout the Las Vegas Valley. In their first year, the group logged 4,000 hours of community service. For a lot of those who volunteer, it gives them a sense of belonging. The Sassy Seniors do not limit themselves to a single cause or organization. They have worked with veterans, participated in community and highway cleanups, and supported heart health initiatives in February through the Red Cross and other organizations. Yanke initially connected the group to causes she had personal ties to, but organizations have since begun reaching out to her directly because of the group’s social media presence. One member of t
