Obituary: Carmine Santandrea

Born in New York, Carmine grew up in an entrepreneurial family and spent much of his career building businesses, creating ideas, and bringing people together. He began his professional life with his older brother Jim, later joined by his brothers Joe and Larry, in a family venture that grew during the exciting and transformative years of New York City s communications, advertising, and corporate marketing boom. Carmine soon branched out to create businesses of his own, producing corporate films, events, presentations, and marketing programs, eventually including ScentAndrea, a venture built around his belief that scent could become a powerful tool for communication and promotion. While he was known for his business success, those who knew him understood that his real gift was not selling products or services—it was helping people see possibilities. He was endlessly cu
