SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Deep tropical moisture, settled over the Suncoast, is bringing higher chance of both coastal and inland areas of rain for Sarasota and Manatee counties. Along with the higher rain chance pattern, we are seeing wave action along the coast bringing high rip current risk and, in places, boating hazards.A stalled front stretching across north-central Florida will serve as the trigger for daily rounds of widespread showers and thunderstorms, which are expected to push onshore starting in the morning hours before spreading inland during the afternoons. Localized flooding is possible in low-lying, urban, and poorly drained areas through early next week as the ground becomes saturated.
