LADSON, S.C. (WCSC/Gray News) — South Carolina authorities released body camera footage this week showing a mother and her daughters weeks before the two girls were found dead inside the home. The footage offers the clearest look yet at daily life inside the Ladson-area home, where Emory Deacon, 2, and Harlow Deacon, 15 months old, died.The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office said the two young children were found starved to death at the home during a welfare check by deputies on Sept. 29. Authorities said the girls died three to five days before they were found, with their mother, Justine May, facing charges that include two counts of homicide by child abuse.
