SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Record-setting rains hit the Suncoast last week. At SRQ, Tuesday set a daily record with 4.89”! The total for the week at SRQ was 7.92”. That is not record-setting for the month. Back in 2024, with Hurricane Milton, SRQ had a record 12.59”. We could still add to our October total this weekend. We have two First Alert Weather Days for two completely different types of weather.SATURDAY: Beaches and Coastal First Alert Weather – High Risk of Rip Currents, High Surf, and Small Craft Advisories SaturdaySUNDAY: Morning and Midday Showers and Thunderstorms - Some heavy downpours are possible, which could create ponding or flash flooding of low-lying areasHurricane Isaias is moving inland, but its effects are still being felt across the Suncoast today. Saturday will feature bands of rain related to Isaias moving over the Florida peninsula, bringing showers and thunderstorms on and off throughout the day.
