
Breast cancer survivor creates wig company to help women facing hair loss

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (InvestigateTV) - A group of seniors meets every Thursday morning at Cedarhurst of Tesson Heights to sew quilts from fabric scraps.The quilting club was the idea of activities coordinator Glenette Nothum.“I love to quilt, and I think word got out. Then the ladies were like, we wanna quilt, and I was like really...wow,” Nothum said.People started donating fabric and sewing machines, and the quilting club was formed.The club includes 71-year-old Barb Jackson, who has sewing experience.“My mother was a sewer, she taught me how to sew,” Jackson said.It also includes 81-year-old Doris Lake, a newcomer who was convinced to join by Jackson.“I said, ‘I can’t sew like that.’ She says, ‘Come on everybody,’ and now I just love my machine,” Lake said.Not every member of the club sews, but all members contribute.The quilts are donated to those in need, including children in the foster care system.“Today is a baby quilt for the foster care system,” Nothum said.“Whoever may need it, we
