Woman accused of trafficking underage girls after detectives find children in hotel room, police say

MERIDEN, Conn. (WFSB/Gray News) - A woman is accused of trafficking underage girls after detectives found two girls in a hotel room being advertised online for commercial sex services in Connecticut.During the investigation into a missing child, detectives with the Meriden Police Department found two underage girls in a hotel room with Janesleon Colon-Santana, 24. One of the girls was partially unclothed, according to police.Colon-Santana was charged with the following offenses: two counts of risk of injury to a child, criminal attempt to commit human trafficking, criminal attempt to commit commercial sexual abuse of a minor, promoting prostitution in the first degree and sale of narcotics.Colon-Santana was initially held on a $1,000,000 bond, which was later reduced to $750,000 by the court.
